AMBITION
How might we help managers proactively manage risks in order to sustain a high-performing team?
PROBLEM
As a manager, it is difficult to keep track of my team while also managing projects, and operational continuity.
SOLUTION
A one-stop shop where managers can easily access up-to-date employee information and get personalized recommendations to improve operational efficiency.
This project brought together multiple HCM products into a single experience, giving managers a centralized view of their team's information and priorities. It challenged the team to identify what information truly mattered and what deserved space in the experience.

KEY TAKEAWAYS
Designing Through Change
Working in an agile environment meant constantly adapting as components, technology, and AI capabilities evolved. I learned to design based on key information and principles rather than around fixed constraints and design systems.
AI Helps Provide Context, Not Judgment
Much of what makes someone a valuable employee isn't captured in data. Human organizations are not just information-processing systems, they are shaped by trust, relationships, identity, conflict, tacit knowledge, professional judgment, and moral responsibility (Liu, Source). Managers have to navigate all of these factors when making decisions. This experience reinforced that the role of AI isn't to replace human judgment, but to provide the right context and insights so people can make more informed, thoughtful decisions.
OUTCOMES & IMPACT
This was one of the first agentic apps released by Oracle, and the project helped define the agentic app design system patterns. I was 1 of 5 designers on my team selected to participate in an internal hackathon to stress test the agentic app's capabilities. Due to NDA, I can't share full details, but feel free to read through these publications to learn more about the project. Reach out if you'd like to know more.
