Hey, I'm Mika!

I design agentic AI experiences at Oracle for enterprise HR software used by hundreds of companies and thousands of employees.

I hold both a Master's and B.A. in Information Science from Cornell University. During my time at Cornell, I built design communities and worked with startups through Design Consulting at Cornell, partnered with nonprofits through Hack4Impact, conducted research with the Cornell Social Media Lab, and taught as a TA for multiple UX design courses.

Born and raised in the Philippines, I grew up noticing the everyday friction in systems around me. From long lines and confusing processes to experiences that made simple tasks more difficult than they needed to be. In college, I began to see these challenges differently: many of them were opportunities for better design. Thoughtful planning and human-centered design can make everyday experiences more intuitive, efficient, and enjoyable.

I'm passionate about strategic design that balances user needs, business goals, and long-term impact. I believe the best solutions not only solve problems, but also create more positive and sustainable experiences for people and the world around them.

Outside of work, you'll find me traveling, trying out new cafes, crafting, playing tennis, or trying out a new sport just for fun.
